Global EV sales rise in April despite trade disruptions, fall in North America

Summary: Global electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle sales rose 29% year-on-year in April, driven by stable growth in China and Europe. However, North America saw a 5.6% decline due to trade tensions and uncertainties surrounding tariffs. China-based EV makers increased domestic sales and responded to growing demand for plug-in hybrids offshore.
