Oracle drops on disappointing cloud sales, more AI spending

Summary: Oracle shares fell over 10% after reporting a jump in spending on AI data centers and equipment, which is taking longer to translate into cloud revenue than investors want. While cloud sales increased 34% and infrastructure revenue gained 68%, both fell short of analyst estimates. Oracle expects capital expenditures to reach about US$50 billion in the fiscal year ending in November 2026, a US$15 billion increase from its September forecast.
